Visited Tulum as our last stop on our tour around the Yucatan Peninsula. Beautiful place, but way more tourists here than any of the other ruins we visited.

Arrived by plane JetBlue from Miami to Cancun, we didn't take the tram. Photos attached.

GPS on the money. Easy find.

Could have been a case of bad timing, but we found the velcro with no problems, it's just that there was nothing attached to it. Came back about 20 minutes later and it still wasn't there...

GPS was all over the place but we finally figured out where it must be and with a bit of teamwork to avoid the muggles, managed to log it without too much trouble.

Last week I dove the wreck of the Rainbow Warrior up near the Cavali Islands (north of Bay of Islands). Remembering well the events around the sinking, it was great to be able to see her in her final resting place as a new reef. Visiting this memorial a week later makes it even more poignant.

Bit too much traffic around for us to search properly, but we checked all the (we thought) obvious holes and couldn't find it. Maybe some other time. 

No luck on this one, even after 10 minutes of searching. We put it in the too hard basket. Thanks anyway  

Very nice hide. After searching for a bit we did a rethink and then it was in my hands within seconds. Great view from up here. TFTC

Not many muggles around on this rainy Monday, so a nice simple find.

Seems that the bushes have grown a bit, but still a great view - especially if you're tall Nice reason to come along this road, for a more scenic route south.

Once again you managed to beat us. No luck here either, maybe would have been easier with a torch? Awesome walks through the park though, there and back along two different paths. 

Last cache for the day and a nice easy find in the early evening. Not too many muggles about and the old photographing tourists trick always works to put them off the scent. TFTC 

Managed to pick this one up fairly easily despite a couple of mugglers cars parked there - they were too busy chatting to each other to even see what we were up to.

Tried a few times to find this despite there being heaps of muggles around on this gorgeous Sunday. Didn't have any luck though and had to give up in the end. Great view point though, thanks for bringing us out here. 

Way too many muggles around for us to even attempt this one. Superb spot for lunch though. Thanks for bringing us here. 

Nice and easy find late in the day, not too many muggles around at all.

Had to wait around a bit for a group of muggles to disappear and then it was a piece of cake to pick up this one. TFTC 

The falls have a lot less water over them than I remember from when I was here as a kid. Nice easy find between groups of muggles walking the track.

Lots of muggles around, but we gave it a good try anyway. Unfortunately without succeeding. Never mind, maybe some other time.

This one also beat us, not doing so well today. Not sure what a [mamaku] is, GPS was playing up and there were hundreds of places it could have been. Gave up after 20 minutes or so of searching. 

There were way too many muggles around for us to even try this one. Lovely spot for lunch though, thanks for bringing us here.

This one seems to either be gone or was too well hidden for us to find. Nice walk along the river though. 

Sunny day in a very busy Paihia. Easy to pick up this one with the help of the hint, not too many muggles around, apart from on the water.

Didn't bother looking for the cache at this one as it would have felt dodgey searching around a restricted zone as a foreign national.

Thanks for a great lookout point though, really enjoyed stopping here for lunch. 

A cheesy grin indeed. Lovely little walk, shame that the river was dry, I'm sure it is even prettier when there is water in it. Bega is a great little town, which we could have spent a lot more time in, exploring the local vineyards etc... If you're here and heading north then there is a great fruit winery a bit out of town (Fruit Ballad) which is well worth a visit.

Took nothing, left TB Loose Moose for him to start his journey home. 

Great little location this. Really loved the walk through the bush and the views when we got there were fantastic. Gave the wife a bit of a fright while clambering around on the rocks, but found the cache reasonably quickly and made it back ok.
