We needed a cache to drop a few TBs in, so TheLandGirl and I called in here after work this evening to take a look for this cache, which was a nice easy find at GZ. The climb back out was steeper than we were expecting! TFTC!

Did a quick day-trip up to Whangarei today, together with TheLandGirl, to pick up my cat who was being looked after by family, while we were away for the holidays. Whilst up there we took the opportunity to complete this Earthcache and have emailed our answers to the CO. Didn't climb to the summit today, but have done so a few times before. Thanks for the Earthcache!

Down in Nelson for a week with TheLandGirl and we spent this morning wandering around the city completing Adventures Labs, then as the weather improved we decided to take a walk up to the "Center of New Zealand." A lovely walk to the summit and a lovely outlook too. Photo attached of my GPSR at the monument there. TFTC!
Thanks to everyone who attended, it was a great event! It was nice to meet a friendly group of local cachers!
I was hosting an event at the nearby Speights Ale House, and at the end of the event a group went out to find this cache, so I tagged along for the find in the fading light. TTFC!

I'm down in Nelson for a week with TheLandGirl and tonight we were in the city picking up some dinner. While waiting for dinner, we took a short stroll to this site to complete the virtual cache here. Had nothing ring-like on me, so used my fingers to create a ring - photo attached. Thanks for the virtual cache!

I noticed on Friday that the Fairy Falls Track was going to be reopened quietly that afternoon, so I decided to head out there on Sunday morning to check it out. After completing Fairy Falls, I then went over to Cutty Grass track to look for a couple of caches here. A nice quick find at GZ. TFTC!
I noticed on Friday that the Fairy Falls Track was going to be reopened quietly that afternoon, so I decided to head out there on Sunday morning to check it out. Yesterday I saw that 2 Supernanny caches had been published on the track, so I updated my GPS before heading out here this morning. On arrival at the carpark, I checked my phone and saw that 4 more Supernanny caches had just been published while I was driving out here! With the phone signal in the area being patchy at best, I saved the new caches offline while I had the opportunity to, then headed off down the track. This cache was well hidden, but in the obvious place, so another quick find. Another blank logsheet and another {FTF} for the day! Thanks for placing new caches along here, its great to be able to revisit this very scenic trail after years of closure.

Yesterday I saw that 2 Supernanny caches had been published on the track, so I updated my GPS before heading out here this morning... luckily 4 more came out as I was heading to the falls. This was my second find on the way down the track and another nice easy find. TFTC!

Yesterday I saw that 2 Supernanny caches had been published on the track, so I updated my GPS before heading out here this morning. Struggled with this one on my way down, so left it for the journey back up the hill. Turns out that my GPS had me in the wrong place earlier, but seemed more settled on my second visit and I soon found the cache at GZ. TFTC!

After hearing that the Fairy Falls Track was reopening this weekend I headed out there today and solved this puzzle before setting off. Unfortunately GZ was too muggly on my 3 separate visits today, so I'll leave it for another time!

After completing Fairy Falls, I decided to take a short drive to complete the letterbox cache that was part of this series. After completing Fairy Falls, I decided to take a short drive to complete this letterbox cache. Parked at WP1 and worked out where the final cache would be, took a drive back to where I had been earlier and soon had the cache in hand. The logsheet was a bit damp, but I managed to sign it. TFTC!

The new staircase down the side of the waterfall was very cool and the waterfalls were great to see again. The older steps were indeed slippery, so I was a bit more careful on the final decent to GZ. Arrived at GZ and soon found the cache and a another blank logsheet for my 4th {FTF} of the morning! I was out for a wander around Wenderholm this afternoon and took the opportunity to find a few recent caches while here. Systematically made my way around the posts, looking in all spots that matched the hint, I think I went through all of them before finding the cache! Time to go for a hike up and over the hill now. TFTC!

After last nights thunderstorm, the weather forecast looked good today so I decided to head out for a hike around Cascades Kauri Park, doing a clockwise loop from the carpark, an area that I've always enjoying walking. A nice quick find here, as I made my way up the hill. TFTC!
After last nights thunderstorm, the weather forecast looked good today so I decided to head out for a hike around Cascades Kauri Park, doing a clockwise loop from the carpark, an area that I've always enjoying walking. I initially overshot this one, so had to walk back a little bit to take a look for the cache, which was soon found at GZ. TFTC!
After last nights thunderstorm, the weather forecast looked good today so I decided to head out for a hike around Cascades Kauri Park, doing a clockwise loop from the carpark, an area that I've always enjoying walking. This was my first cache find for the day, a nice easy find at GZ. The cache was in a pool of water and was being kept underwater by the rock placed to hide it! But this didn't seem to matter, as the cache was still nice and dry inside. TFTC!
After last nights thunderstorm, the weather forecast looked good today so I decided to head out for a hike around Cascades Kauri Park, doing a clockwise loop from the carpark, an area that I've always enjoying walking. This unusual cache was a quick find at GZ. I see that the cache is now disabled, I've started hiking regularly in the area again, so can put in something different if you want. TFTC!

After last nights thunderstorm, the weather forecast looked good today so I decided to head out for a hike around Cascades Kauri Park, doing a clockwise loop from the carpark, an area that I've always enjoying walking. Back when this cache was published, I saw the title and knew the area it would be! Had a wait a few minutes before looking for this one, as a few people were hanging around reading the sign. Once they left, the cache was soon in hand. TFTC!
After last nights thunderstorm, the weather forecast looked good today so I decided to head out for a hike around Cascades Kauri Park, doing a clockwise loop from the carpark, an area that I've always enjoying walking. Last cache of the walk, quite a few muggles on the boardwalk section, so I had to take time admiring the Kauri try while waiting for the coast to be clear to reach down and grab this one. TFTC!
After last nights thunderstorm, the weather forecast looked good today so I decided to head out for a hike around Cascades Kauri Park, doing a clockwise loop from the carpark, an area that I've always enjoying walking. Dropped down to the side and cache was in reach, so pulled it out to sign the log and replace before the next lot of muggles come along. TFTC!

After completing this very cool series, I worked out the location of the bonus cache, had a good look around GZ, but had no luck spotting the cache. The light was starting to fade and it was time to head back home anyway. Will try again another day.
With the forecast for Friday being good and Saturday being rubbish, I decided to head out to Matakana today to make the most of the sunshine and to do some more caching in the area. I spent a good part of the afternoon wandering around Omaha and finding a few caches here, the weather was stunning at this point in the afternoon, it felt like summer! I had a good look for this one, but had to deal with muggles walking by every 30secs, which was frustrating! Decided to reach out to a recent finder, and they gave me a bit more of a hint as to what I should be looking for. I went back and soon had the cache in hand this time, not sure why I missed the cat's home the first time, as I was looking right there! A very cool hide this one, in fact the whole series was cool. FP added! TFTC!

I spent a good part of the afternoon wandering around Omaha and finding a few caches here, the weather was stunning at this point in the afternoon, it felt like summer! Decided on the most likely tree, took a look from the boardwalk, couldn't spot anything, went up the tree, couldn't spot anything, took another look from below the tree, spotted the sneakily hidden cache, went back up to retrieve it, back down to the board walk to sign the log, then up again to replace the cache as found! TFTC!

Stopped at Parry Kauri Park on the way up, while completing the Warkworth Adventure Lab, and went for a wander around the bush here. It's a stunning little patch of forest here, so I took my time wandering around it. Took a look for the cache here, which took me a little while to spot, as it blended in so well with the tree!
