Going to try and get to this one after work on Mondee.Have a detour at Kawana I need to attend to along the way.Cheers
Replaced dodgy eclipse tin left in the mud and replaced with magnetic containerjust like when I found it.Theres only thing this could bemagnetic.Cheers
Was walking past when saw some others nearby. The key ring totally broke when sumone reached up for it,so I replaced the tether on this one also .Should be good for awhile now.Nice to revisit a cache I was FTF on years ago. Cheers
Totally exhausted from work/event in Caboolture/visiting my mum on Thursday night and my 15000 steps and 62 floors just at work on Friday. But I dragged myself to Caloundra.Who wouldnt want to compete for a car park at 3:00pm at Bulcock Beach on a Saturdee. And then when I get there it was blowing a gail, but I stuck to my plan I made with myself.I wanted to put better tethers on Big Red ,Code Clash and check on a couple of the others I got **FTF** on all those years,so got to the car park before two and did my thing. Ran into a few of the others at Sneaky Selections who happened to break the rusty ol key ring cos she was suffering from ducks disease,so I replaced that tether as well. Sooo,This was bugs maiden adventure to north Bribie by walking. How novel is that .I lived on the esplanade over at Golden Beach there a few years back and paddled the god awful current across to Bribie a few times, Have very fond memories of driving right up and around back in the 80s cos my old man and his mate wanted to catch a monster flatty at the blue hole. Saw,and picked up rubbish at all my stops today. Even was the can man for a few of the beach practitioners. Had to knight in shining armour some lost floating things for a couple of drunk lasses on inflatable paddle boards. All in all I did over 10000 steps over there today. The best thingdid mainly in bare feet, walking through the water where I could .Ended up seeing some of the older cachers after the event at the car park. Took me by surprise to see CrookedPete and seffnjarah-jeff at the showers, and some others.Picked up a bit of crap, collected a few cans, some polystyrene (coolite).RoddyC who was the minder of GZ tried to get me to disperse my collection into some buckets but I refused due to the environmental concern from the wind and the water. Trying to repair the situation, not add to it. In conclusion, I remembered how beautiful how Bribie was/is.The new easy access is a double edged swordgreat that many can enjoy the tip(just the tip),but shit to see a bit of rubbish and tents/swags of people staying over there . Great CITOFP if I could.**tips hat **

Needed something different than the usual daily routine so made my way south to surprise a few people .I dont like to log a will attend on an event in a different LGA on a school night cos I never know whether I will get there or night. Probably been a whole year or so since I attended one of these events but great to make it down to this one. Probably didnt expect as many attendees as what was there which made it a surprise to myself.Lots of surprisessurprised how busy Pumicestone Road was .With shopping centres and wotnot these days.Surprised I couldnt get a park in the car park at the sports club due to bingo. Surprised they had some virtual golf games in the club now. Surprised the event location changed to one of the rooms instead of where it used to be. Surprised to see a few of the usual regulars of these days geocaching. Best of allI surprised my mum when I sprung a visit on her after not seeing her for a year. Thanks for the event princess.Great to see your crew again. You guys are always lovely to me which I love. Hope I wasnt too much bug.Lovely seeing you all.Great being back in SEQ. **tips hat**

**FTF**Been back for a couple of days and eagerly awaiting a local FTF opportunity. After working all day I came home and saw this one published. An AL bonus cache. And a spiderwebbs AL bonus cache.I knew I have to work for it,was hoping for an easy find.Off I trotDid the first two waypoints without getting out the car due to multiple choice.Really really really struggled to find the tile at Cooke Park. There was people there, and felt a bit funny looking where kids were playing on the playground.McCarthys was easy enough and then I only had Howells Knob to go to .I had 4 Journal Entries which gave me 4 numbers. I brute forced the checker for the last number. Off I trot againParked near some hall .Did the few hundred metres to GZ .Found small container under suspicious pile of stuff.First name in the book.Left TB .Cheers spiderwebbs for the AL.

I remember I was in town for one of Townsvilles Bunnings sausage sizzles. I even worked for a few hours in the morning then went out to meet the dudes after that. I pitched in and got behind the grill and cooked up some snags. Great fun in 30+ degree temperatures . It was good to lend a hand and help out with a bit of fundraising for the TSV Mega. And be happy to help out againif it was on a weekend.Monday will be a bit of a stretch for me as I prob be working. If Im not working count me in.

**Signed on the 9th of June. Cache is currently not assessable**Had this one on me thoughts for a long while.Created by me ol mate karicka.Probably found about 100 caches in the shire. Most proud that I found some of the harder to get to caches. At the time of writing I can boast I am the only person in the world to have found every non traditional cache in Mount Isa LGA , and the ones I havent come under my stable of hides.(*not including Adventure Labs*).Thanks karicka for the challenge. Thanks drrnrchr for keeping the challenge cache alive.Cheers.**FP for being a challenge cache**

It was awesome to see our efforts from last time exponentially worked around the cemetery lot.Good thing a guy from the council caught us mid way through **effort 1**.I believe we achieved our objective here.Well done datsin1600 on a great idea.Cheers

Not sure why this came up as Temporarily Disabled...Been some strange going ons with the website, like no new cache notifications, missing half of my Found It Log Notifications, and strange PRNS on the wrong cache page.Anyhoo, this one should be findable.Cheers

**FTF**
Heading back from a casual day out at Camooweal.
This was a quick stop and a brisk walk through the long grass.
Didnt realise I was first name in the log.
I never would of known that people in their caravans could stop for the night.
The council have provided red wheely bins for passing travellers.
Cheers

Bad news on this one.
The ground at GZ has been dug by a front end loader and dirt tipped over the top of the rocks at GZ.
I did have a bit of a fossick but nothing unveiled itself on the edges of the pile.
Not a bad spot for a cache but the afternoon was dragging on and didnt have time for a replacement...or better still hide a Groundspeak cache.
See how I go over the next few weeks.
Cheers
**Will add photos of GZ**

Had a look for this one and it has disappeared .
Just like the other one on the other end of the bridge.
There is evidence that the water level comes right up here...higher than the bridge!!!
**Have permission from the CO to replace it and move to a more appropriate spot... like a place that starts with G.
For now its with me.
Cheers

I could log a million of these.
Someone mentioned this Locationless Cache in another cache I was looking for.
This very well might be the most western PERMANENT SURVEY MARKER IN Queensland.
PM is at SE corner of bridge over the Georgina River at Camooweal
Illaga Thuwani/Georgina River Bridge.
PSM 94816
PSM WAS INSTALLED IN 2001

Replaced the container with a magnetic keysafe.
About a metre away on the first metal upright.
With a rock on it now...
Will add photo.

**Answers sent, my test paper was corrected and permission to log****International Geocaching Day**International Geocaching Day and I probably picked the most furthest cache in Mount Isa LGA to target. It was a Saturday and felt like a drive. After passing through Camooweal twice and pressed for time on those occasions, it was nice to just go for a casual drive and dawdle. The type of thing I like doing geocaching on my own.If I want to get lost in a spot, I do it, without being rushed by others. This spot allowed me to do this. After finding roadside trigs and looking for lost GCA caches earlier, the day was getting away from me and it was time to visit this one.I remember seeing a sign on the way into town from the Isa that said turn left at the pub, but I still forgot it and had to double check. The road you turn down doesnt look convincing but a ended up being a pretty good graded road. As you do, I still had my doubts whether I was going the right way or not...dont trust google maps!Eventually, I made it to waypoint of carparking.Very stoked I was the only one here and was able to immerse myself.Totally gobsmacked when I got to GZ.Wasnt expecting this big hole in the ground like that, and the cracked ground on top.I did climb down the creek, the furtherest down that I could without a rope. At 3:00pm in the afternoon the small canyon was shaded and was lovely on a 31 degree day. What a spot!Did the other waypoint which is overgrown in grass but you can see rocks. **(I would recommend visiting the Nowranie Lake Information Board first before coming here. Its only a one kilometre deviation before coming here...and youre going to go there anyway)** Now that I have been corrected there is something very familiar about this rock. Thanks wazza9 for bringing me here. I dreaded doing the assignment, but relieved after you got back to me.And for some reason this triggered a memory from primary school about my Commonwealth Bank Dollarmite Account. Its been 35 years since I cashed that in.**Favourite Point for a real cool little spot...as in groovy, rad, awesome...not the weather**

**S 20 42.485 E 139 31.039****Preform attached to the survey marker on other side of track **Photos attached.Confirmed a while ago that this one was missing.Left it until today to replace it.Now a preform tethered to the star picket with a rock cairn covering it.Nice afternoon walk starting out in 31degree heat.Ended up walking over the 3 peaks walking back down in the dark with no torch. The crazy stuff I do.Walked about 4-5kms all up for the evening.Cheers.

Had this one planned for awhile.
Wasnt sure how to get to it.
There were different opinions.
The Dump road...nope.
Maybe walk around the Telstra/Weather Radar Towere Hill...quite possible, prob good walk.
I was told to access the old goat farm...lol.
S 20 42.081 E 139 32.421.
Here you find a gate...with a bit of a wire.
I just drove via the satellite map in the direction of the trig.
I believe this is all council land in view to the dump growing.
Also can be used for rifle target practice..
I got as far as
S20°42.08346' E139°32.42652'
This is where I parked.
There was a barb wire fence to walk along.
About 50 m from the corner of the fence you come to a metal pole.
This is mentioned in the original trig station document.
Some sort of metal post with strainer.
Anyhoo, great place to jump over the barb wire fence.
The original notes say its a 15m hike from here with a heavy pack.
I went up the razorback and came down the gully.
Cool way up, fast way down.
DONT DO THIS LATE IN THE AFTERNOON. A BIT TRICKY TO NAVIGATE BACK TO THE BARKLY HIGHWAY.
Cheers
