Logs for undies

Finally decided to attempt this find after Hillbridge and myself got some clarification from Carpo regarding 'How to Read' the 'Code'. Having said that, nothing was going to let me miss one of Carpos caches, 'Bar' one that has been archived.
Thanks for the cache, the code is safe and sound, no spies were detected while retriving the 'Enigma Machine".
Thanks for the cache, the code is safe and sound, no spies were detected while retriving the 'Enigma Machine".
Good hide. Hope with all the Gobal warming that this cache doesn't get wet. Great views over Avon, as one of the fastest rising rivers in the South, I will have to come back when it floods. T4TC.
Found the cache on a day I went solo, no Hillbridge to direct me, so I successfully passed GO and didn't have to go to goal. Wait wrong game. Oh well, I used lateral thinking and followed the signs to one of Gippslands historical monuments. Not much activity today both on the field and off. Thanks Carpo. Hillbridge keep thinking.

The clues and hints had us going for many a month. Must admit Hillbridge did most of the final work to get the GZ. However, my keen eyes were needed to spot the cache, after conducting a little garden tilling. Carpo, keep them coming, your caches are worthy adversaries.

Finally decided to log this find. I found it one night out on a push bike ride but listened to the clue about no pen.. Well, I just put my hand on it and went on my merry way with no muggle to worry me. Now I decided to take my own pen and scratch my visit down. Low and behold, the cache has a pencil. So much for listening to Carpos clue...as they are in a totally different world.
Well. It just goes to show. Sometimes the littlest hint in a previous log can get a cacher in trouble. Lucky I'm still nimble on the pins and didn't get wet. So WE also recalculated and finally trusted my GPSr, mind you Hillbridges Colardo is iffy under cover and my old trusty eTrek keeps on going. Great hide in an asset to the local Landcare members.
You can see why old Angus called this area home. Lucky we didn't need any salad greens for our lunch there is certainally alot around.
Another Jimmymaff cache you just have to think through and don't go hammer and thongs to the biggest obvious spot. T4TC.
A quick find with the help of Hillbridge. You definately get a few looks from muggles in cars. My skin crawled when looking out over the wetlands with memories of past caching challenges.
A bit slack and didn't try this from a push bike. Great views on a nice sunny autumn day will have to challenge myself to ride the whole trail one day.
A quick find with Hillbridge. Its amazing how many old stations are in this part of Gippsland.
Nice walk to this old rail siding. The sun was out as was the little lizards lucky the long skinny ones stayed at home.T4 another find.
Have to thank Hillbridge for a quick hint. Nice piece of rock work and good hide in a very popular spot on Mothers Day.
Sometimes it doesn't pay to think you know a town and you just need to open your eyes as you drive around. Good cache, just slow down and check the sights out of this great town. Happy Mothers Day.
Out on a cache run for Mothers Day. The cache was in hand pretty quick but the return walk to the car found me waist deep in grass. So watch out for the old rail sidecuts if you shortcut back to the car.
Should have honed in on this one real quick but a lucky Mum was out with a her kids on a couple of shetlands on Mothers Day. Hillbridge was also chaffing at the bit for a frothy. Not long to the cache was safely in hand.
On a day out with Hillbridge checking out the new local cache sites. Found this one early on Mothers Day so we wouldn't scare vistors.
Lucky we don't need to use this place to 'spend a dime'. Thanks for showing us all the great monuments to old Angus.
A quick drive and easy find of a cache which is normally laid out by a very devious clueman. Thanks Carpo for a quick find for a change.
Decided to finally grab this one on a day the oval wouldn't be used by the local team or dog walkers. It just happened to be the day before the local classic, 'Battle of the Birds' between Maffra and Sale. Happy to say the magies won.

Picked up Hillbridge on the way home. I let him count while I worked the numbers. This was to check his theories and observation skills against his Colorado use. Well, after I counted the scales we moved off in the right direction. However, credit due, he does have good cache findings skills, once on site Thanks Carpo and Co for the cache. This time we needed no help, apart from counting. I hope you have a lot of fun at the park watching other Cachers trying to be incognito.

Found with Hillbridge after help from Carpo Crusaders. Our saga. Sometimes chatting while caching closes the eyes to what you're meant to be seeing. After two failed attempts, even with one search that found us at GZ by just thinking about the clues 'On' the signs, but no heart to search to any great depth. After many laps around the wetlands trying to out-think the log clues, which is quiet good if you're into walking. We enlisted the help of Carpo. Thanks heaps. This time no muggles were going to stop our search, so the old age art of chatting while letting your cacheing mate do the search kept muggle eyes away from the cache Great thought into this one, very easy, for us dum cachers to over think the clues. TNT4TC.

Found with Hillbridge after some frustration at Heyfield. Maybe the McCoys and Hatfields have muggled the ammo tin or we just had a very bad day. Anyway, a great park, but it would have to be alot warmer to entice me for a swim. Global warming may sort that out, but snow melt water is never warm. T4TC.

A quick look on-line before I finished for the day and spotted a couple of newbies. So phoned Hillbridge, picked a couple of frothies up for the hunt and off we motor. Great concept for a cache, had us thinking while we were drinking and looking. The muggle cars had us on our toes, I wonder what they thought two dudes were doing beside the road. But we soon had the treasure and off to the next. Thanks for the First Find certificate, I let Hillbridge have the next.
With Hillbridge, well I drove and chatted. He was out the car in a flash, Colorado in hand, straight to the cache, last I seen of him was rolling around in the grass, no stopping this cacher when he's on the trial, last weeks snakes still have me jumpy so more than happy letting him play for a while. Thanks for the cache, the wharf and new boat ramp will be well liked when finished. Over the years I have caught heaps of bream while listening to the footy on those Oh too few sunny Gippsland winter days. Today though no mugglers with the stiff force 6 eastly whipping up the lakes. Back to the warmth of the car and the drive home. Thanks Jimmymaff for another cache. It wont be long before we start hidding a few to complement the Gippsland trail.

With Hillbridge. After yesterdays close call when I attempted to use the Stargate I thought an experienced Wingman sorry Snake man wouldn’t go astray. Lucky the rain hasn’t left any problems on the roads so the Ford easily conquered these little mountains unlike the big one at Bathurst. A very nice place. You can see that it was once a popular spot, man made tracks and seats around the lake. Looks like most people now watch TV. T4TC and the mossies.
1800h. Thanks for this cache. However, I think a warning on snakes wouldn't go astray. For the past two days I have been muggled. One by some youngsters canodling so I took the oppurtunity to go for a walk around the wetlands, very nice. Yesterday by a bloody big snake, well aren't they all BIG. So I took Hillbridge back as my wingman. I think the Stargate got the snake and also felt abit guilty not putting the cache back far enough in the snake hole, sorry Stargate portal. Here I was bending down, hand on the cache handle, eye-to-eye with a flickering tongue. Lucky the Stargate had activated and pulled me back and put me on top of the log, waiting for evidence of the huge beasts departure. So today I was abit more confident with my wingman and noticing that the Stargate had reset, however, I still proceeded wtih caution had a cache out. Thanks for the heart starter and cache.

1230h. Been over this track many times on the mountain bike. So its good to see some other use for it. Very popular time of year with the school holiday campers using all the good spots. This makes it a bit hairy with the little tackers playing on the tracks. TNLN.
1230h. Some local gold fossickers had parked in the suggested parking spot but luckily there's an old quarry nearby with heaps of room. Walking back along the road I was questioned by some muggles that were using their car GPS. They were wondering if the road went to Canberra. I quickly put told them to turn around unless they wanted to spend along day getting lost. Just goes to show you still need a map or a general idea of the area, just don't follow the GPS blindly. Did this one along with a 'another point'. Don't know if the 'with envy' hint will last the summer. I rearranged the cover to make it look more natural. With some attention to detail its an easy spot.

1600h. Boy does it blow a gale here. No wonder all the trees are bent over. Another great cache. This one is a goodie, heaps of muggles driving past on a very miserable windy day but no-one got out of their cars, except me. This one had me running around the carpark, toilet and shelter shed everytime a new bunch of muggles arrived. You should see my track log. Anyway, my first look should have been a quick find and back to the warmth, however I felt a bit guilty pokeing around where it looks like the local kids or visitors go to get away from prying eyes. If you know what I mean. T4TC

Thanks Jimmy for another one. I beat Hillbridge to this one. He has been sneaking away early from work for baby sitting duties... Yeah right. With a little more rain only the true seekers will find this one. I haven't been in this area too long so its good that they are making more wetlands areas like this available. Cheers TNLN.
Found after a small walk. Should have done this one on the push bike. TNLN.
1120h. Found after a few head scratches. But you should trust the GPS. No mossies on this day as the wind has blown them to NZ. I would like to see someone attempt it during peak boat ramp time... Not. TNLN.

1721h. Got muggled by a kids birthday party on Saturday. Just couldn't face the Dad while he cooked the barby and keep a straight face. Will be back with grand kids as its a great park. Thanks Maff.
1700h. Got frightened off by muggles on Saturday. Came back with caching mate Hillbridge for a quick find after work. Great hide, should be safe for years. T4TC

1120h. Great drive by. Its a shame that all these small rail lines have gone by the way-side TIC. I will be dusty off the deadly treadly to try the trail soon. T4TC.
1230h. Its amazing what is just around the corner in your own neighbour hood. I wonder if there're any tiny tightrope walkers who would try this one, not as glamerous as Niagra Falls TIC. Spent sometime looking at the very funny and hairy beast next door, is it a yak? Sniffed this one out after resting and taking in the bird chorus. No wombats but lots of holes. They must of been sleeping.

1220h. Great spot opened up again. Spend the time to explore. Just watch for the long black things that wriggle very fast. T4TC. TNLN.
Found way back at Easter, but a few problems got in the way of logging. I have travelled this road so many times and remember stories from Dad about the Bears. However, the stories we now remember are which kid didn't get car sick before Bears Lagoon. Caching the Calder and Loddon HWYs makes for great stops for the little ones. T4TC TNLN but memories.
10-May-09
1154h. Easy parking, pleasant views and a great spot to stretch the legs away from the main road. This was on a non little muggle day, so didn't see a soul. Just park the car and enjoy the view. A great little spot to watch the sun set with the your one and only. Or some fish and chips. F4TC
1141h. Nice to see and visit such a quiet spot so close to town. Had a nice chat with some grazing cows but were no more interested in me than the grass in the gully. Found the cache but the house needs the roof raised if I'm to take up residence. The container is safe and dry in the cupboard. I didn't add to the larder but there's more than enough for vistors to this lovely town on the Avon. F4TC. Its a great little place to visit.

Frustrated with Hillbridge with this one on a Valley caching day. Didn't want to tread on too many plants, but we were pretty sure we had GZ. Let Hillbridge get confirmation via email. Good to see it finally came through.
22-Mar-09
Got the nod from our friendly geo-geologist. Found the well with Hillbridge on one of our frequent caching days. Great spot not far off the track. Pleasant place for a break if driving this way. Drop in and find out some history of oil in Victoria.
01-Mar-09
0909h. Got most of the clues. However, wrote down one wrong and was heading towards 4 green soliders so used my GeoSenses and missed the last few clues. Great place for a quiet stroll and learn the local history. Left TB to drag a few more to out town. T4TC.
0930h. Go to see its back in action. Yes high muggle area. Reading the paper and tying your shoe lace will do it. Take own pen. T4TC.
22-Feb-09
1250h. A quick drive by on a warm day. No need to worry about muggles unless they're tiny tots playing.
1335h. Found with Hillbridge on a quiet Sunday cache day. Amazing that our fore fathers drained the swamps and now we're creating wetlands. Go figure.
