Actually the Border is the River Sauer and there is a marker on the Bridge.

This ist the dormitory "Professor-Anschütz-Haus" near the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
I lived there quite a while.
It was formerley divided into the 9-story "Herrenhaus"(men) an the 6-story "Damenhaus"(women).
To ensure, there are no men getting into the "Damenhaus" there was 24/7 a doorman until the late 80.
Now the rules are no longer valid, and i lived in the Damenhaus with much pleasure!

This is the Technical Museum of U995, a class VIIC/41 attack submarine of the german Reichsmarine in WWII.
Other side of the street is the "Marineehrenmal Laboe" with museum, and two klicks south is the "U-Boot-Ehrenmal Möltenört".

Replacementbridge at Kiel, Germany
The white "Pushbridge" in the left. Right the red-white-yellow mainbridge.
Due problems while building the Dreifeld Klap- Zug- Brücke, this bridge was build quickly to give a short access to the new Norway-terminal.
The Replacementbridge is pushed forward to close it. The Entrances are on the side using the Gatway of the Threepodbridge
After installing the main bridge, it was decided to keep this bridge as a replacement.
It is always open and only be used while maintaining the main bridge.

After building the Dreifeld Zug- Klapp- Brücke there where some engeneering problems discovered and it toked more time to build.
But due a agreement there must be a short pedestrial access from Railwaystation to the new Norway-Terminal, so the Backupbridge was build in short time.
After installing the Threepadbridge the where more problems discovered.
Because the bridge must be maintainced more often and longer as planned, it was dicided to keep the replacementbridge. It is always open and only used, if there is aproblem with the main bride
