23 November 2024 13:19 My darling husband drew a likeness of me with my legs up in the air in the log book, but don't worry, it was rated "C", C for catnap . The tour around looking at all the art was a delight. There are some talented people out there.Thank you BFMC for an interesting tour of Geelong and an extra added bonus of a large size bonus. In other words BON from US to .
23 November 2024 10:30Don't know how we made it here as we had a huge day yesterday with dalerious and I not getting to bed till 0130hrs this morning, and getting up to get ready to drive to Geelong at 0230hrs Friday morning. The heat was oppressive on Friday and it ain't going to be any better today, but our gracious host catered for that and graciously supplied us with cold drinks and light snacks. Everyone that attended gathered quite a load of rubbish in their bags and dalerious found a tyre which I proudly carried down to the collection point. We all stayed around to enjoy each other's company and donuts before heading our separate ways to cache and for us, head home.Thank you wespro for hosting 2 wonderful events.Just to mention, we got very positive feedback from the public walking along the footpath as we were collecting the refuse .
23 November 2024 11:30Had to leave dalerious to make it right to the top on this one as reach was a factor. I get annoyed as so many monkey climbs cater for taller individuals, but I will get as far as is safe for me, and then my taller better half goes the rest of the way.I probably would have made it if we carried the ladder which would have got me past the gappy section. Thanks for the cache KDosVerH123
23 November 2024 14:44 dalerious and I were in Geelong again as we put our names down to attend a Friday night swim with the hamfish, and a CITO and Beach Patrol get together with wespro on the Saturday. As usual, we had a jam packed 2 days booked and catered for. What we were not wanting was the oppressive heat on both days; but we got that in spades. Funny enough, by the time the evening swim event rolled around, it had turned quite chilly and breezy which made it a very cool dip.Anyway, we put up with the heat and cold and heat and had a ball with the caches we chose to do on the Friday. Saturday rolled around, and we were still awake from Friday for the most part of Saturday morning. Events still attended and again the temperature just kept climbing......but I am getting ahead of myself. It was during Friday afternoon whilst relaxing in our motel room after caching all morning in the heat we noticed an email from BCF. They were having one of those Black Friday sales, and we noticed they had a 50% off on their inflatable kayaks. Hhmmmm, we thought. We really want to sign that DTT Challenge cache, but we didn't want to lug our 2 non-inflatable kayaks here from Tatura for one cache.Well, we hopped in the car, and off to BCF we went.Roll on Saturday on our way home. You have to check out my image as proof of how bloody hot it was.Needless to say, we walked down to the waters edge and evaluated the situation. The wind was howling which accentuated the heat factor. Bugger blowing up the kayak and having either a coronary or a stroke, we are going to swim it.I have always been a strong swimmer and can tread water for hours, but my darling husband is like a teabag; one dunk and he's done. So he donned on a lifejacket and he had the ingenious idea of getting one of our dry bags, filling with air, and using it as a single sausage floatation device. We had to walk in a bit of the way because tide was out, but as soon as we could we swam. The wind was behind us on the way to the cache. Signing duties complete, we turned around and headed home. No, I was stationary. The wind was howling and I wasn't getting anywhere. Lucky, dalerious was wearing a pair of flippers, and I just latched onto him, and he using his legs and me using my arms, and our flotation device keeping us above water, we got to shore.dalerious took off his flippers walking back to the shoreline and stepped on a buried urchin, so the poor bugger had urchin barbs in his foot, which I dealt with when we got home.We just got to shore, and like Murphy's Law the wind instantly stopped. We were cool, but very sticky and when we got to the car, a quick dousing of cold water and prop change and we were soon in the air-conditioning on our way home, congratulating each other for a very successful weekend. Thank you Sims_family for an awesome Challenge cache which was found in good condition. Favourite point given.

23 November 2024 11:48 signed with dalerious. We were umming and ahing about whether to sign this Challenge cache because it seems so far off into the future before we will qualify for it and claim the smiley. But, you just never know where in the world life is going to take you. Up until a few weeks ago I did not own a passport, now dalerious and I are going to Norfolk Island for Christmas, and we are planning a trip to New Zealand hopefully next year.So hell, why not go sign the damned thing and live life to the full before you drop off the perch and leave this mortal coil. Thanks BFMC for providing the insensitive; like if we needed it .

Looks highly likely that dalerious and I will be around this neck of the woods, so we may as well lend a hand before the heat hits; looks like it is shaping up to be a stinker .The refreshments after the CITO would be greatly appreciated .Thanks for hosting wespro.

So sorry that dalerious and I couldn't stay around Melbourne to see you all, but the weather forecast was not favourable so we left our accommodation last night to head back home. We ended up getting quite a substantial storm early this morning and there is more rain coming.Hope you guys didn't cop anything too horrible and are able to complete the CITO without the precipitation. Cheers for now,Karen and Dale.

16 November 2024 11:15 dalerious and I were heading to Pentridge precinct to have a walk around and undertake the awesome GJMMelb caches there, but before doing that we decided to do this one first, as the starting coordinates were cloce and handy to the carpark, where we were so lucky to get a perfect car parking spot.It was going to be hot, and parking was a premium, especially today as there was a market on.We got to a nice park and found the required information to get us to gz.Well, that is what we thought. There happens to be two plaques on one of the structures, and serves us right for not looking in the first place, because our coordinates put us over 300 meters away on someone's nature strip. All good in the end, the short walk was made and the cache was found tucked away, safe and sound. Now, off to Pentridge we go before the heat really hits.Thank you barista86 for a super coffee, whoops, cache .
16 November 2024 10:09 Eventually found with dalerious. It took us a little bit to figure out the clever hint. Loved the simple cleverness of itCache soon in our hands when we had the ah ha moment.Thank you for bringing this area to our attention by providing the adlab and bonus cache. We really enjoyed the area. There was a market on today which brought the crowd in, but we managed to get everything done before it got too busy.Thank you FMH1977.
16 November 2024 11:59 What an awesome set of caches, with almost every variety catered for. dalerious and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here wandering around looking for all the clues. We definitely racked up the steps going from one end to the other, and everywhere in between. We got a bit tangled there for a while, forgetting which clue to keep for which cache; this meant visiting some areas multiple times.Apart from that minor setback, and it was only a setback because the heat was becoming oppressive. I loved the detail you put on the cache page, and also for the cache containers.A bit of history from my past........My family used to have a Mobil Service Station on the corner of Bell Street and Suffolk Avenue back in the late 60's early 70's and I remember driving past Pentridge Prison when it was a prison as a little girl.My how things have changed.......I like the way it has been developed. A good mix of accommodation and private living, but also keeping the history alive as well.dalerious and I have been looking forward to coming here and seeing how you have implemented the caches into this environment. Well, it works. You have done an amazing job.dalerious and I have shared out our favourite points so that he has given the 2 mysteries a fave, and I have given each of the multis plus the trad a fave each.Awesome caches GJMMelb, thank you for providing them for us to enjoy.

16 November 2024 20:33 A lovely walk in one of the nicer spots in Coburg, with a good few caches here on offer, dalerious and I enjoyed the gentle stroll around getting all the information required for each of the caches. When we eventually made it to gz for this one it was already dark. The hint was spot on, but something appears to have made a home in the spacious nook, and dalerious was lucky enough to spot the cache outside of it's hide under some leaf litter, after first checking thoroughly where the cache should have been.We signed the log and placed the cache back in it's hide.Thank you JuNiDiAn for a well set out multicache that was a pleasure to complete.
16 November 2024 22:36 if it was a mint tin or such, under the seat, it looks like it is gone.dalerious and I enjoyed a beautiful late night walk here. We made the most of the full moon to walk to the lookout and take in the view. Thanks for bringing us here Posums.
16 November 2024 08:59 This challenge was signed today, and I am working my way to qualifying.Hopefully this summer spent in the high country might get me there.
16 November 2024 09:38 dalerious and I grabbed Winston whilst we were in the area doing the adlab and bonus cache.Winston was located and signed and we were both on our way on such a lovely day.Thank you vividrogers for the cache.
16 November 2024 20:49A lovely walk in one of the nicer spots in Coburg, with a good few caches here on offer, dalerious and I enjoyed the gentle stroll around getting all the information required for each of the caches. We got a good set of numbers and moved on to gz. Muggles, bugger! OK, we will go and do something else and come back.Back to gz. No, not again, this time different Muggles. Bl%$dy hell, are we ever going to sign the log of this cache. When we eventually made it to gz for the third time, it was now well and truly dark.We signed the log and placed the cache back in it's hide.Thank you Kmace for the lovely walk and this multicache .

15 November 2024 18:57 dalerious and I enjoyed the walk around doing the adlab then locating the bonus. We also enjoyed watching someone having a ball with his remote control car in the velodrome. Those things have got some get up and go!He stopped having fun when he crashed the car and wheels and other parts came flying off the machine. We heard him say, "well there goes another $400."What happened to the price of toys today?Thank you jarwillo for the adlab and bonus.
15 November 2024 12:22 dalerious and I were here on another mission today. We were in the area test driving a car we were looking at buying. We were not due at South Morang till 1pm so I opened the map to see what was around to keep us occupied and I saw this cache which, when I visited it the first time, was not there. So today was the day to make amends.Thank you muzza for replacing the cache which hopefully means it will stay active for us grateful finders for many years to come.
15 November 2024 18:20 dalerious and I were here doing some caching and planned to attend 2 events at Pentridge on Sunday morning. This was one of the caches we found whilst undertaking the adlab.A very clever container and quite apt.Thank you Cliff5009 and nirgalagrin for looking after this cache.I happened to read the logs of cachers that visited the day after dalerious and I, and we too were shocked from what we saw of Coburg and surrounds. So sad, as I grew up in St Albans and we had a service station on Bell St Coburg. The motels around this general area are not being maintained. Something really needs to be done. The whole area is looking very sad.

dalerious and I are excited to be able to attend your regular Pentridge event, this time being held on a Sunday.A wonderful breakfast before the CITO sounds like an awesome plan. @2@ Thank you nirgalagrin for providing these 2 events on a day we can attend. Although we will be hightailing it back home to work straight after the CITO.

Due to the area where this cache was situated being decimated by I presume Parks Albury/Wodonga, I had no choice but to remove the cache from it's compromised hide.I will contact our reviewer to explain the situation, and ask to reinvent the cache where I now reside.I am so sorry to have to take this action, but it looks like council may have rezoned the area for housing, as every tree that was there has been chopped down.Keep safe, and keep on caching .

9 November 2024 19:05 The last cache for the day brought us to a spot that dalerious and I were very familiar with.If we would have known how good this spot was prior to coming here, we would have chosen to get here on dusk, find the cache still in daylight, and then waited for the sun to bid us good day and stay for the stars to come out and shine.A puzzle that we had no trouble seeing the light, as long as you knew where to look.Finding the cache though was a challenge. It was just in a sneaky spot close to where you would expect the cache should be.Thank you again Mr Appleford, a Au star for you.

9 November 2024 16:02 Well, what a lot of fun that was! After visiting family in Albury, we headed straight down to flashed me Wangaratta to drive like a Rally star and put the Hilux to the test.My navigator for the day was dalerious; no, that's his name, but I can tell you by the end of the race, both he and I were in Delirium, well, some may call it Dementia. They both start with a "D".We got to posted coordinates and grabbed our destructions for the race.We moved up to the start after downloading the Rally app, and we were off like a cut snake , until I realised I didn't turn on the permission for the app to use location, so a chucked her into reverse, and waited for the starter to give us the all clear to begin.Peddle to the metal and we were off, doing a break neck speed of 40kph. I looked out the side window and a tortoise was suddenly gaining on us and ready to overtake!I can't have no tortoise overtake me, so on the accelerator my heavy foot went and we got to the heady speed of 45kph.I looked over to my navigator who was looking decidedly green around the gills, on go the brakes, as we were at our first marker.Off we go again, our time was heading toward a race record; well at least for the tortoise that is!My navigator although sweating with fear, was doing a marvellous job..................bugger, I jinxed us, didn't I. We had a slight stumble at the last marker and that bloody tortoise showed a clear set of heels and won the bloody race, just in front of the hare.We limped in over the line, proud of what we achieved. What a race, what a finish. Thank you to ILookedThere for organising such a novel race. If you see Santa please let him know that dalerious is looking for a job as navigator, and I can tell Santa, he is definitely up to the task. His nose is definitely RED enough! Damn that hayfever.Favourite point for the FUN!
9 November 2024 17:02 I will not be silent when asked if dalerious and I needed a hint on this puzzle. The answer is yes.........So many of your puzzles are master's of disguise. The simple truth is in there, but like a Chameleon the answer blends into the cache page, and seeing the answer on how or what to use to solve it, gets blurred with all the other words and phrases. The puzzler gets lost in the haze, and falls in a daze, and the puzzle falls silent. But not for long!A chance chat with a puzzle solver got us underway and the rest is history. No misunderstanding or lack of communication here .Thank you Jamin Appleford for another brilliant puzzle.
9 November 2024 19:42 dalerious and I were in town and whilst we sat outside our favourite pizza shop enjoying an awesome Marinara pizza with Anchovies, I opened up the app to see what I could solve whilst chowing down.I had looked at this puzzle in the early days and of course didn't know what to do.Experience solving puzzles over the years has sharpened the eye and wirh the information supplied, it was just a matter of following my nose.I did however miss a couple of important pieces of information which gave me an incorrect set of numbers. Note to self: read all the info on the page properly. Thank you Team BGF, your stash was found in pretty good condition. The innards were in great condition but the themed outer container is showing it's age; just like the rest of us!A favourite point given

dalerious says that he will bring his whistling idiot along for an evening dip!Awesome idea the hamfish holding this event in such an awesome way.It appears my hint, hint, nudge, nudge moment worked, but not even I would have dreamed up an awesome combination for an event, as you just have.See you there .

Site visited with dalerious and answers sent off to CO, with a super fast response back giving us the all clear to log.dalerious and I never tire of coming to this place. We have been here many times before over the years, and still find the area fascinating. I have wondered before why no one has ever placed an Earthcache here. Well, we do not have to wonder anymore. Thank you Samuel737 for bringing us here to enjoy the area again.

2 November 2024 08:52 dalerious and I only signed four caches this Saturday, but when you take into the account what type of caches they were, and where they were, you wouldn't accuse us of slouching, or say we started our day too late. The first alarm went off at 0230hrs, but my poor husband needed a little more sleep after a big day at work, so I put it to sleep for another hour.....We were packed and off by 0500hrs and it was shaping up to be perfect weather for the calibre of caches we had on our list.We arrived to an empty carpark, and as we walked down to the falls we got to enjoy the area without a soul around. We made very good progress to the cache. I can't believe how we just picked the right line to get us there. Studying topographical maps helps, but it's not until you are in the field that the true lay of the land is revealed. And topographical maps don't show undergrowth, fallen debris etc.At gz we assessed the best way to access where the cache was hidden, and as this was my turn to claim so much unloved, it had to be me first making my way to the prize.Just as I scrambled to the ledge, with dalerious hanging onto me as I retrieved the cache, a Peregrine Falcon flies over head and cried out, and at that moment we felt truly blessed.Thank you Jamin Appleford.
2 November 2024 14:22 dalerious and I had such a successful morning at Paradise Falls and now it was time to make our way over to Power's Lookout and try our luck at a line of JA caches that have not had too many visitors since their inception. As usual, we studied the map and had a good idea where to start our walk from once at the parking coordinates. We felt good about attempting these caches as a suggested trailhead was provided for what we thought at the time was a safe decent to a lower level. It wasn't until we reached the rim of the escarpment that we realised that the "access point" was for further down the escarpment. Unfortunately, this made getting down harder than it should have, because we had to spend time trying to find a safe way down. This is the only flaw in what turned out to be a lovely walk to find 2 caches. Lovely if you discount the inch long ants which I am terrified of as I have been stung multiple times in one sitting by those attack freaks! We really wanted to make it to the Multi-cache but because we were not sure if we could exit safely there, which meant we would have to walk back way over to our original drop zone, which was a fair distance away. It is here that I will suggest to JA maybe adding waypoints on where to decend from, which, in my opinion, would promote cachers to come and give these a go, because it is worth it.My criticism here is not meant to hinder visitation. I would love more people to give these a go. I just want to see them attempt them safely. One exit point we chose to get back up, looked alright from the bottom, but soon became almost unreachable for a short statured person as myself; and there was no turning back.Thank you for bringing us here, and we look forward to visiting again to go find the rest .
2 November 2024 15:20GZ: Oh my goodness, coming up to this cave was the best part of the whole journey. Following the escarpment was beautiful. Weaving our way along the edge, over boulders and through thin scrub all the way until we rounded a corner and there it was. A sight to behold, no doubt. A bit of exploring and the cache was soon in our hands .dalerious and I had such a successful morning at Paradise Falls and now it was time to make our way over to Power's Lookout and try our luck at a line of JA caches that have not had too many visitors since their inception. Geological site visited by dalerious and I, and a good set of colluded answers were sent to the CO for his evaluation and marking .dalerious and I spent quite a bit of time at both waypoints of this Earthcache. We found what we witnessed at each site remarkable and strong and lengthy debate ensued, as we tried to figure out how nature created what we saw.As they say, two heads are better than one and we managed to produce a worthy outcome to some thought provoking questions about what happened here, and what was to come in the future.Nature is mind blowing, and I am glad I love rocks enough to persuade my husband to trust me on an answer or two .One of the best Earthcaches I have undertaken. Favourite point given.

Out for a Sunday drive, dalerious and I have to search high and low for a cache we have yet not found this close to home.So it was lovely to find this trad along the road back home with such a short detour.Cache found in excellent condition. Thank you howjen567/Chewinprickles .

26 October 2024 17:14 dalerious and I are guessing that the information board has been updated, and thus one question will be hard to answer. We managed to take a guess at that particular number and managed to come up trumps.Enjoyed the walk and exploring the area.Thank you again, Sons of Callum.
26 October 2024 Thank you DGS Australia for another Pathtag .I was looking at more than Bill when we got to gz for this cache.I don't think there is a mundane outlook along this entire escarpment. Gee dalerious and I had an awesome day here.Thank you Sons of Callum for bringing us here. We were looking forward to finding your other cache called Cattleman's Clearing, but the gate was locked down that part of the track, and although we don't mind hiking, we just didn't have the time to invest today.
26 October 2024 11:34This is the second cache for the day, which I am logging first so as dalerious can claim over 5 years unloved: we take it in turns .We turned off Wabonga Track onto McMillan's, not knowing what to expect. We were not sure what state the track was in, and if it had a gate at the beginning. The track was in perfect condition. Well, there was no gate, so we decided to drive past all the other caches we were hoping to sign today, and park up where we knew a gate would be.We enjoyed a coffee as we packed a backpack ready with what we needed for our adventure. The walk along the MVO track was very pleasant, and again we decided to head past the other caches and start at the last in the line. This cache was awesome! For this one, we decided to follow the escarpment all the way from the Earthcache . I think we chose wisely here, as it gave us a good idea on what to expect, and how to tackle the other caches. We were very glad to report that we have enough knowledge and fitness to be able to undertake and successfully find this type of cache, without recklessness, as free climbers. When we arrived at approximate gz, we studied the geological feature and had an idea where to start, before scaling the face to the right level.Because of my short stature, dalerious and I have to take extra time to pick the right access point for us both to get to the prize. There is no rushing caches like this; time is needed not only to be able to access the right area and doing it in a safe manner, but the view and the feeling of freedom is something to savour. So don't rush it.The only other thing I need to mention is, and I think it is the most important thing to say: Come and experience the beauty for yourself. Plan the trip, grab what you need, and come and enjoy what Jamin Appleford has provided for us here to enjoy .Favourite point given .
26 October 2024 15:16 Well Jamin Appleford, we are so glad you put the "prickle/thorns" attribute on this cache, because by jingoes it is well deserved here .I have been trying to qualify for this particular Challenge Cache, that a well known CO placed out a while ago, their name has eluded me all of a sudden , and I just can't seem to qualify for it [:(!].Maybe if the path was more travelled it would be a little sweeter getting to this cache. So we will blame lack of visitors. In saying all that, it was a glorious place to visit and sitting on the edge of the waterfall gave the feeling of being a water nymph in an enchanted forest.Thank you for a wonderful days caching Jamin Appleford .
26 October 2024 08:23 An enjoyable walk with dalerious brought us to a most splendid place to sit and take in the beauty of the area.We cant talk highly enough of the track leading to the caches along the entire stretch. All The caches here are doable, and you are missing out on witnessing a part of the Victorian Alpine Park that should be seen, and with so many awesome caches here to whet your appetite . Thank you Jamin Appleford, another favourite point given.
